Meet Ladan Vakili, DMD
Pediatric Dentist in Kentfield, Serving Greenbrae & Marin County
Dr. Vakili began her academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland, graduating at the top of her class. She then continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania, where she obtained her Doctorate in Dental Medicine.
She completed a post-doctoral general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital and achieved many accolades. She then entered private practice for a few years.
Subsequently, Dr. Vakili went on to complete her post-doctoral training in pediatric dentistry at Maimonides Medical Center, where she served as chief resident each year.
After graduation, Dr. Vakili entered private practice in Manhattan and pursued an academic interest at the same time. During this time, she served as:
- Division Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at Mount Sinai Hospital
- Associate Director of the pediatric dental post-doctoral program at Maimonides Medical Center
She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association.
Dr. Vakili moved to California to be closer to her family and was excited to settle into private practice in Marin County.
She is not only an active member of the Marin County Dental Society, but she also served as the editor of the Marin County Dental Journal. It was a professional honor when she was asked to serve on the Marin County Dental Society ethics committee.
She is also a member of various study groups in the Bay Area, where she served as chair and a licensed continuing dental education provider.
During her free time, Dr. Ladan enjoys spending time with her husband (who is also a dentist & Marin County native) and her son. As a family, you will find them exploring parks and trails in Marin. They also like to travel and cook together.
